Infant Feeding Support

Infant Feeding

Infant feeding therapy can enhance your baby’s feeding abilities, whether they are breastfed or bottle-fed. With lactation counseling and feeding therapy, we can address issues such as painful or shallow latches, cracked or creased nipples, mastitis, clogged ducts, prolonged feeding times, milk supply issues, reflux, coughing, and falling asleep during feeds.

By utilizing positioning strategies and targeted therapy exercises, we work on resolving oral motor challenges like jaw weakness, lip strength, and improper tongue movement that may affect your baby or toddler’s feeding.

Karen is highly experienced in working with families dealing with tethered oral tissues (such as tongue, lip, and buccal ties). She takes a functional, individualized approach to treatment, ensuring personalized care with a team-based strategy.

Bottle Feeding

With so many baby bottles and nipple flow options on the market, it can be overwhelming to choose the one that will best support your child's oral motor development and individual needs. As a skilled therapist, Karen will guide you in selecting the right bottle to help with sucking skills, oral motor development, and breastfeeding goals.

Our aim is to provide you with the support necessary for successful feeds and to promote healthy weight gain for your baby through a mix of counseling, feeding strategies, and daily home exercises.
